Port Alberni 2026: Where the World Warms Up to Win
FIFA26 Activities
Port Alberni’s Host Community initiative for FIFA World Cup 2026 aims to position the Alberni Valley as a Pre-Tournament Training Base for participating national teams. Led by a volunteer Organizing Committee of local leaders, businesses, and community partners colaborating with the local government and first nation bands, the initiative focuses on sport diplomacy, tourism, and legacy-building. The committee is engaging with FIFA Canada, provincial and federal representatives, and international embassies to showcase Port Alberni’s readiness in hosting world-class teams. This community-driven effort highlights the region’s passion for soccer and its potential for global engagement.
